June Wade, 83 died February 14, 2006 at Prospect Park Living Center. She was born July 26, 1922 in South Charleston, West Virginia to parents James W. and Sarah L. (Spencer) McDaniel. She married William David Wade on March 9, 1944 in Peoria, Illinois; he died August 23, 1994.She graduated high school in Alexandria, Virginia. She then moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for the U.S. Signal Corps and met her husband while working as a key punch operator at The Pentagon. She later worked part-time at dress shops until starting a family. As a stay at home mom, she took up oil painting as a hobby. She also enjoyed hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. She is survived by sons, Gary A.(Diana) Wade of Loveland, CO and William David Wade, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Claude (Mac) McDaniel of Jacksonville, NC; sister, Carolyn Jones of Estes Park, CO; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother.There will be a viewing on Saturday, February 18, 2006, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., at Allnutt Funeral service, 1302 Graves Avenue in Estes Park; private interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the Estes Park Lions Club or the Parkinson's Foundation in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 1302 Graves Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517.
