However, these supplements were never published by S. R. Dishman.

Supplemental Information about the bible taken from "The Dishman Family of Pine Hill, c.1752-1905, Westmoreland and King George Counties", Charles M. Marsteller III, Tidewater Virginia Families, Vol. 9, No. 3, Nov/Dec 2000, pp. 164-172.: The Dishmans of Pine Hill owned a family bible that contains vital data for Samuel & Susanna Baker Dishman, John & Ann Edmonds Jones Dishman, and Addison & Mary Jane James Dishman and their issue. It appears that the records were retroactively compiled by John Dishman (1793-1844) of King George County for his siblings and issue. His descendants continued this tradition. The Bible record was passed to Samuel Roland Dishman (1871-1946) of San Francisco, California. He passed the Bible and his extensive research to his son Addison Vincent Dishman, Sr. (born 1906) of Cocoa Beach, Florida. Upon the son's death, some of his personal property, including the bible record, was disposed of. The Bible and Roland's family research were saved by James Dallas Dishman of Lynchburg, Virginia, who was alerted by a Dishman family member who found the materials in a Florida flea market in 1999. James has given the Bible record and the papers to William James Dishman of Utah, a great-grandson of Samuel Roland Dishman.
